MARSHALL (KMHL) – Lyon County Commissioners are holding a public hearing tonight on the future of curbside recycling in the county.
Earlier this month, commissioners rejected all bids to continue the program because the bids came back much higher than expected. They also voted to replace the curbside program with roll-off containers to collect recyclables set up around the county.
However, commissioners reconsidered that decision at their second meeting this month and set the public hearing. They also again called for bids from interested haulers to continue the curbside program.
The meeting is set for 6:30 tonight in the commissioner meeting room at the Lyon County Government Center.
