MARSHALL (KMHL) – The City of Marshall is launching a new app. The city made the announcement of the Marshall MN app on Friday afternoon.

The city is partnering with local technology expert Maxx Raths and his Raths technology company Ninety 17 LLC.

The city says the app will combine information from local businesses, to special offers, to important information from the city on emergencies or even updates on the pandemic.

“We’ve always had a need to communicate clearly and effectively on environmental updates like flooding, a pandemic or civil updates like voting information and council reports,” said Marshall Mayor Bob Byrnes. “Being able to leverage this platform and the push-notification technology is a great asset and it’s my hope that everyone participates so that they can receive those important updates directly to their phone.”

The app will be available for a free download on the Apple iOS and Google Play stores for mobile devices.
