Verdina Violet (Bahn) Molstad was born on May 13, 1922, in Posen Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, to parents David and Esther (Blazer) Bahn. She attended the Parochial School of St. Luke’s and graduated from Wood Lake High School as the class valedictorian.
