Talk about a case of the Monday’s.

Jared Cooper works for a window washing company in Mobile, Alabama called Squeegee Squad.  And on Monday afternoon, he was stuck dangling from the side of a building, 450 feet up.

His equipment malfunctioned while he was cleaning the windows of Alabama’s tallest building.  The RSA Tower is 35 stories and 745 feet including the spire.

He was just below the 33rd floor when a piece of equipment called a “descender” locked up, so he couldn’t go up or down.  He called 911, and firefighters were there within minutes.

Then since he had plenty of time on his hands, he figured why not call MOM.  (???)

Her name is Charlotte Hopkins.  She was at work when he called, and says he was all casual about it.

He said, “Hey, Mom.  I’m stuck up here on [a] ledge, waiting to see if we’ll be able to get me down.”  She didn’t freak out until she saw a photo of it on Facebook.

It took the fire department about an hour to hoist him up, and he’s okay.  He called it “just another day” at work and said he planned to get back up there on Tuesday to finish the job.
