Anna Kendrick recently made her directorial debut with “Woman of the Hour”. She plays the real-life “Dating Game” contestant who came face-to-face with serial killer Rodney Alcala in 1978.
Well, she felt GROSS about profiting from an actual murderer, so she donated her entire pay to victims of violent crime.
Quote, “Believe me, this was never a money-making venture for me, because all the resources went to actually making the movie . . . I’m not making money off the movie . . .
“The money is going to or has gone to RAINN [Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network] and the National Center for Victims of Violent Crime. It’s still a complicated area but that felt like the least that I should do.”
“Woman of the Hour” is currently streaming on Netflix.
