Mass of Christian Burial for Marjorie Naber, 88, of Marshall, will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 21, 2023, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Marshall.
Marjorie Ann (Merlevede) Naber was born on October 4, 1934, in Marshall, to Richard and Laura (Depyper) Merlevede. On Marjorie’s 22nd birthday in 1956, she was united in marriage to Jerome Naber at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall. The couple enjoyed square dancing together with the Chicks and Slicks dancing club. They farmed south of Marshall until retiring in 1984, moving to Marshall in 1998. Marjorie resided at Madison Avenue Apartments in Minneota until the end of 2022, when she moved to Morningside Heights in Marshall. Marjorie was a kind-hearted woman who was always concerned about others, and she loved music.
Marjorie died on Monday, August 14, 2023, at the Avera Morningside Heights Care Center in Marshall. She is survived by her daughters Rosalie Parrish and AnneMarie Schwartz, her grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jerome, and infant son Jerome, Jr.
