Bernice Gertrude (Beranek) Zwach was born on June 19, 1922, on a farm near Wanda, to Peter and Margaret (Schunk) Beranek. She graduated from Lamberton High School. She was united in marriage to Paul Zwach in Wanda on July 10, 1945. The couple farmed and raised their family near Milroy.
