Cyber Security Expert: Stolen Hy-Vee credit and debit card data being sold on the internet

DES MOINES, IOWA (KMHL) – Internet security expert Krebs On Security says the data stolen in a data breach from Hy-Vee is being sold on the internet. According to Krebs, one of the more popular underground stores peddling credit and debit card data is selling data from more than 5.3 million new accounts belonging to cardholders from 35 U.S. states. Krebs says the data comes from compromised gas pumps, coffee shops and restaurants operated by Hy-Vee. Earlier this month, the retailer said it was investigating a possible breach. IVANHOE (KMHL) – A 54-year-old man was airlifted to Sioux Falls hospital after he was run over by a tractor Friday afternoon on a rural Ivanhoe farm. Dawson teen injured in ATV accident near Morton

MORTON (KMHL) – A Dawson teenager was hurt in an ATV accident that occurred shortly after 3:30 Saturday afternoon. The Renville County Sheriff’s Office says 19-year-old Colby Hudson, of Dawson, was traveling too fast for the road conditions and lost control of the machine and rolled the ATV. Authorities say the driver was thrown off the ATV and was in and out of consciousness. Authorities say the driver sustained injuries, but his condition is unknown.

HAZEL RUN (KMHL) – Forty one students from the Lakeview School District escaped injury after a school bus was struck by a pickup Friday afternoon southwest of Hazel Run. The Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s Office says a pickup driven by Tracy Kocher, 41, of Echo, drifted across the center line and struck the bus.
