IVANHOE (KMHL) – A 54-year-old man was airlifted to Sioux Falls hospital after he was run over by a tractor Friday afternoon on a rural Ivanhoe farm.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office says it responded to a call around 1:15 Friday afternoon that a man had been run over by a tractor. Authorities say the man was alert when responders arrived at the scene.
Sheriff’s officials say the man was attempting to engage the starter manually when the engine started the tractor moved forward because it was left in gear.
Authorities say the man was not able to get out of the way in time.
