MARSHALL (KMHL) – The WoMen’s Rural Advocacy Programs announced yesterday they will partner with the nonprofit organization GiveMN and will participate in Give to the Max Day.

The 11th annual day of Minnesota giving is Thursday.

GiveMN has helped raise more than $170 million for Minnesota-based causes since that time. In addition to many of the state wide organizations, several local organizations also participate in the event.

“We are excited to participate in this statewide fundraising opportunity to promote the great work that Non-Profits provide each and every day to help the people that live in the great state of Minnesota,” said Becci tenBensel, Executive Director of Women’s Rural Advocacy Programs, Inc.

WRAP says donations to their organization this year will go towards helping victims of domestic violence in Lyon, Lincoln, Redwood and Yellow Medicine County.

“We are hoping through this event we can raise funds to support the success of this new effort,” tenBensel added.
