MANKATO, Minn. — A 50-year-old woman was rescued Saturday morning after an overnight search along the Le Sueur River south of Mankato.
The Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office says deputies began searching Friday evening after finding the woman’s belongings and dog on the riverbank. The search involved drones, a Minnesota State Patrol helicopter, K-9 teams, boats and the sheriff’s dive team.
Around 7:15 a.m., people walking nearby heard the woman calling for help. She was found in the river and taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato with minor injuries and symptoms of exposure.
