MINNESOTA — A day of hot temperatures and high fire danger warnings led to multiple grass fires across the state on Sunday. In Douglas County, a car fire broke out after the vehicle got stuck near Highway 27 and ignited nearby grass while trying to get back on the road. The car was destroyed, but the driver escaped with minor injuries. In St. Louis County, firefighters responded to a blaze at Lakeland Mobile Home Park in Biwabik Township. Two people suffered minor injuries after a grass fire spread under a trailer, which sustained only slight damage.
