Wendy was born September 17th, 1963 in Marshall, MN to Duane and Diane (DeCrock) Van Overbeke. Wendy attended Lynd grade school, then transferred to Marshall High School and graduated in 1982.  In 1981, she met Bob St.Aubin. Together they started their family by welcoming their first born daughter, Erica, in 1985. In 1986, they moved to their farm east of Marshall. In 1987, they were blessed again with the birth of their second daughter, Danica. In 1995, they gave birth to their youngest daughter, Jessica.  Wendy had a successful craft business called “Country Cottage Crafts” for 20 years. She was very proud of her crafts and she would go to craft shows almost every weekend with her daughters and her mother, Diane. Wendy was a beautiful soul with many great traits and hobbies. Her favorite hobbies were crafting, thrifting, crocheting, baking, sewing, gardening, antiquing and celebrating all holidays to the fullest. Most importantly, she had an amazing sense of humor.  In 2011, she moved to the cities to be closer to her two oldest daughters. Moving to the cities brought many exciting moments. From becoming a grandma, to working the Super Bowl at US Bank Stadium, working for MetroTransit, to meeting numerous friends and having fun. She was always on the go. Wendy’s greatest delight was her grandchildren! She spent a lot of time babysitting, doing crafts, singing karaoke, metal detecting, park hopping, rock hunting, baking, and exploring. She was a great mom, and the best grandma.

Wendy died peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Sunday March 17th, 2024 in Avera Hospice Care. She had cancer for 16 months.

Wendy is survived by her children; Erica (Mike) of Shakopee, Danica (Matt) of Hopkins, Jessica (Simon) of Marshall; grandchildren Milana, Maddox, Blakely, and Samuel; granddog Armani; her parents Duane and Diane; brother Randy (Susan) Van Overbeke, Melinda (Ron) Lyng; nephews, nieces, great nephew, uncles, and aunts.  She was preceded in death by her brother John, her grandparents, various aunts and uncles, granddog Lammy, grandcat Roofer, and many friends.
