UNDATED (KMHL) – The weather created difficult travel conditions for Minnesota travelers for much of the weekend.

The Minnesota State Patrol says two people from Tracy were injured when a 1995 Pontiac van went off the road on highway 14 east of Lake Benton. Authorities say David Schilling, 69, of Tracy and Julie Schilling, 64, of Tracy received non-life threatening injuries in the crash.

– A Renville man was injured when the pickup he was driving lost control on Renville County Road 4 and rolled. The Renville County Sheriff’s Office says Braden Chan, 21, of Renville, received non-life threatening injuries in the crash. Authorities say the crash occurred shortly after 6 a.m. Saturday. Chan was taken to the Renville County Hospital for evaluation.

– No one was injured when a garbage truck lost control on Renville County roads due to ice Saturday morning. According to the Renville County Sheriff’s Office, Brent Johnson, 38, of Redwood Falls was driving the truck that started sliding on Renville County Road 20 east of Buffalo Lake. The truck went off the road and rolled. Authorities say Johnson and a passenger were not injured in the crash – and that road conditions were a major factor in the accident.

Statewide, the Minnesota State Patrol reported 357 accidents and 149 spinouts between 5 and 10 am on Saturday morning. Authorities say there were 13 jackknifed semis in that five-hour span as well.
