Wanice Hilma Adeline Hoff, 84, of Hendricks, Minnesota passed away on September 24th, 2022 surrounded by the family she treasured. Wanice was born on May 12th, 1938 to Frank and Jeannettie Koopman in Ivanhoe, MN. She was raised on her father’s farm and met her husband Richard from Hendricks whom she married on June 30th, 1957. Richard and Wanice raised five children on their farm in Hendricks. After her children graduated from high school, she went on to receive a degree as a medical secretary at the Minnesota West Community and Technical College in Canby, MN and subsequently worked at the Hendricks Clinic until she retired.  Wanice had many hobbies. She loved the animals on the farm and enjoyed riding her horse, Major, on trail rides with her family and friends. She excelled as an artist and her abilities were expressed through several different media. As a painter, she produced tole and oil paintings that she shared at art fairs and gifted to family and friends. She taught herself to carve and paint wood figures. She knitted, crocheted, and was a talented quilter who made quilts for every one of her grandchildren and was especially happy to finish one for her first great grandchild, Mira. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She often wondered how she was so lucky to have the best grandchildren in the world. She gave unconditional love to all her family which included the pets of her children and grandchildren. While there were always cookies and treats for the kids, there was also something special for the pets. She constantly sought to make every engagement with others as something special.

She is survived by her husband Richard, her five children, Jeanne Lacy, Dwayne (Jennifer), Jan (Steve), Dale (Jennifer), David, seven granddaughters (Rasheeda Mitchem(Elliott), Milliecia Lacy (Nahom), Hailey Thompson (Trevor), Kylie, Tegan, Abbie, and Ashlee), and one great granddaughter, Mira Mitchem.  Wanice was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Joel, Harvey (Muriel), Gary, Jondale, Robert, and sister Ruby.
