Wade A. Plotz, age 59 of Redwood Falls, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at CentraCare Hospital in St. Cloud after a brief battle with cancer. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, May 1, 2023 at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Redwood Falls. Visitation will be 3:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday, April 30 at the church. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at church on Monday. Interment will be in the Redwood Falls Cemetery. Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Wade Andrew Plotz was born September 19, 1963 to Ray and Audrey (Ohlemann) Plotz in Redwood Falls, Minnesota. He grew up in Clements and graduated from Springfield High School in 1982. He later received a degree in powerline technician from Jackson Technical College. Wade was united in marriage to Beth Windschitl on June 3, 1983 until her death in 1988. To this union two sons were born, Dan and Jason. On May 20, 1994 Wade married Tammy Stage-Baune and gained son Justin Baune. He worked as an electrical lineman for the city of Redwood Falls for 35 years, until he retired in 2019. He later worked at Altimate Medical, until the time of his death. In his early years, he enjoyed running Demo Derby’s with his friends and sons. He enjoyed hunting with family. Wade loved camping and fishing with family and friends at his seasonal RV Park in Ortonville.
Wade is survived by his wife Tammy of 28 years; sons: Justin (Tricia) Baune of Hutchinson, Dan (Kayla) Plotz of Cannon Falls, and Jason (Amanda) Plotz of Cold Spring; grandchildren: Gretchen, Peyton, & Camden Baune and Jackson, Cooper, & Hudson Plotz; siblings: Joe (Renee) Plotz of Dawson, Guy (Brenda) Plotz of Bunnlevel, NC and Shelly (Kevin) Kloos of Winstead; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Ray & Audrey Plotz; wife Beth Plotz; nephew Tyler Kloos; father-in-law Cyril Windschitl; brother-in-law Pat Mathiowetz; and father-in-law Wallace Stage.
