WABASSO – A Wabasso woman was injured when her vehicle collided with a semi at the intersection of U.S. Highway 71 and State Highway 68 on Saturday, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. At approximately 7:53 Saturday morning, a 2000 Ford Windstar was traveling eastbound on Highway 68 and a 2023 Kenworth semi was traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 71 in Redwood County when they collided in the intersection.
The driver of the Ford, 68-year-old Charlene Marie Frank of Wabasso, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the Redwood Falls hospital.
The driver of the Kenworth, 65-year-old James Allan Kohout of Olivia, was not injured.
Assistance was provided by the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office, Wabasso Fire and EMS.
