WABASSO – Two people were injured including a child after a two-vehicle accident on Monday in Redwood County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. At approximately 9:07 Monday morning, a 2001 Cadillac Escalade was traveling eastbound on Highway 68 and a 2019 Chevy Equinox was also traveling eastbound on Highway 68 behind the Cadillac when the two vehicles collided.
The driver of the Cadillac, 61-year-old Diane Lois Arends of Wabasso, was not injured.
The driver of the Chevy, 31-year-old Alonna Rose Baune of Wabasso, and her passenger, a three-year-old girl, both sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to the Redwood hospital.
Assistance was provided by Wabasso Fire, Wabasso Ambulance, and CentraCare Ambulance.
