MARSHALL (KMHL) – Big news from Visit Marshall today! Visit Marshall announced Tuesday they will be kicking off SMSU Homecoming with a new event called Prairie Jam!
The concert will take place at the Schwan Regional Event Center on Thursday, September 29th and will feature country music superstar Tyler Farr.
Farr has charted three number one hits on the country music charts including “Redneck Crazy,” “Whiskey in My Water,” and “A Guy Walks into in A Bar.”
“Visit Marshall is excited to host an event that the community can enjoy, but also bring people in to our community to make an economic impact,” said Visit Marshall Director Cassi Weiss. “Visit Marshall is excited to work with Southwest Minnesota State University to host this concert. This partnership with SMSU is substantial for us to make this event work.”
Prairie Jam will also feature Whiskey Rich – a South Dakota duo who will open the evening up beginning about 6:15.
Tickets for Prairie Jam go on sale on Friday.
