WORTHINGTON — Farmers, landlords, and agri-business professionals in Minnesota are encouraged to attend a series of free farmland rental meetings organized by the University of Minnesota Extension. These informative sessions, held from November 7 to December 16, will provide valuable insights on negotiating fair farmland rental agreements, one of the biggest challenges in agriculture today.

Led by Extension educators David Bau and Nathan Hulinsky, the workshops will offer tools such as examples, worksheets, and factsheets to help participants determine equitable rental rates. Topics will cover historical and projected rental rate trends, current farmland values, and flexible rental agreements. Attendees will also review 2024 input costs, current corn and soybean prices, and explore affordable rent rates for 2025.

No pre-registration is required, and attendees will receive free resources. For a full list of locations, visit: extension.umn.edu/courses-and-events/farmland-rental-workshop.
