REDWOOD COUNTY, Minn. — A two-vehicle collision at the intersection of County State Aid Highway (CSAH) 6 and CSAH 4 on Monday morning sent five people to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said the crash occurred around 10:23 a.m. on Aug. 11 when a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado traveling east on CSAH 4 failed to stop at a stop sign and struck a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado. Both vehicles sustained severe damage and were towed from the scene.
The driver of the 2013 Silverado, 63-year-old Jeffrey Magdik of Centerville, and the driver of the 2024 Silverado, 26-year-old Thalia Calderon Rodriguez of South Sioux City, Nebraska, along with three passengers, were transported by ambulance to area hospitals.
Responding agencies included the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office, Wabasso Ambulance, Lamberton Ambulance, Walnut Grove Ambulance, CentraCare Ambulance, Wanda Fire Department, and the Minnesota State Patrol. The crash remains under investigation.
