Olivia, MN: The Renville County Sheriff’s Office was called out for a UTV accident about one mile southwest of Olivia Monday evening. At approximately 7:03 Monday night, dispatch received a call about two juveniles that sustained injuries. Upon arrival, responders discovered a one-vehicle UTV rollover crash. The UTV was driven by a 16-year-old boy from Sacred Heart and his passenger was a 16-year-old boy from Renville. Both occupants were taken to the Olivia Hospital for their injuries. The driver of the UTV had to be air-lifted to Hennepin Healthcare in Minneapolis where he is currently in stable condition.
The preliminary crash investigation revealed the UTV had been traveling eastbound on 810th Avenue when it left the roadway, entered the ditch and overturned. The Olivia Ambulance Service and the Olivia Fire Department assisted at the scene. The Renville County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
