MONTEVIDEO – Two people were injured on Monday in a three-vehicle collision involving a semi on Highway 212 in Montevideo, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. At approximately 6:00 Monday morning, a 2021 Freightliner semi was traveling westbound on Highway 212 while a 2008 Dodge Avenger and 2019 Jeep Compass were traveling eastbound on Highway 212. Near the intersection with Carlton Drive, the vehicles collided.
The driver of the Dodge, 39-year-old Garrett Feldhake of Montevideo, sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to HCMC in Minneapolis.
The driver of the Jeep, 33-year-old Brianna Ward of Montevideo, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the Montevideo hospital.
The driver of the Freightliner, 55-year-old David Morrison of New Brighton, was not injured.
