MARSHALL — Marshall Police responded to two separate vehicle incidents on Wednesday, both involving juvenile drivers.
The first crash occurred at 2:31 p.m. on Victory Drive, where a 2020 Mazda CX-5 rear-ended a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The Jeep’s driver, a 16-year-old Marshall boy, reported possible injuries but was not transported. The Mazda’s 17-year-old driver and her two passengers, ages 15 and 14, were not injured. Neither vehicle required towing, and no other agencies assisted.
Earlier that morning, at 9:05 a.m., officers responded to a personal injury crash involving a 2005 Chevy Impala and a 2022 Kenworth semi with a 2004 trailer at the intersection of Hahn Road and West Erie Road. Police say the Impala, driven by a 17-year-old Marshall boy, slid on icy roads, went sideways, and entered the opposite lane before colliding with the semi driven by a 64-year-old Comfrey man. The Impala driver sustained suspected minor injuries, while his juvenile passenger was unhurt. The car was towed from the scene.
North Memorial Ambulance, Pulver Towing and the Minnesota State Patrol assisted with the morning crash.
