MONTEVIDEO — On May 5th at approximately 9:45 a.m., Montevideo Officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle which contained an individual who had an active Felony warrant. This vehicle refused to stop and a pursuit was initiated. Pursuit went throughout Chippewa County and then entered Lac qui Parle County. Vehicle then entered a field where it caught fire to corn stalks. Both the driver and passenger of pursuit vehicle were arrested and transported to the Chippewa and Yellow Medicine County Jails.
34-year-old Molly Marie Monzon of Granite Falls was charged with aiding an offender to avoid arrest and fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle. 36-year-old Sean Anthony LaBatte of Granite Falls was charged with aiding an offender to avoid arrest.
