The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma, has issued Tornado Watch 180, effective until 8:00 PM CDT today, Monday, April 28, 2025.
The watch covers a large portion of southern and central Minnesota, including the counties of Brown, Chippewa, Cottonwood, Jackson, Kandiyohi, Lac qui Parle, Lincoln, Lyon, Martin, McLeod, Meeker, Murray, Nicollet, Nobles, Pipestone, Pope, Redwood, Renville, Rock, Sibley, Stearns, Stevens, Swift, Watonwan, and Yellow Medicine.
Residents in these areas are urged to stay alert for rapidly changing weather conditions and be prepared to take shelter if warnings are issued.
