WILLMAR — Three people were injured in a crash that involved four vehicles in Kandiyohi County on Wednesday, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.  

At approximately 7:53 Wednesday morning, a 2008 Chevy Impala driven by 36-year-old Sumani Malimu of Willmar, was traveling westbound on highway 23. A 2010 Ford Escape driven by 65-year-old Marlene Phillips of Clara City, a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by 34-year-old Krystal Enevoldsen, and 2019 Buick Envision being driven by 43-year-old Rebecca Gregoire of Granite Falls, were traveling eastbound on Highway 23. The Impala attempted to pull out and pass a vehicle when it collided with the Ford and Jeep. The Buick swerved to avoid the collision and went into the ditch. 

Malimu, Phillips, and Enevoldsen were taken to the Centra Care Hospital in Willmar for non-life-threatening injuries. Gregoire was not injured. 

Assistance was provided by the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office, Willmar Fire Department, Raymond Ambulance, Raymond Fire Department, and Kandiyohi County Rescue Squad.
