UNDATED — Today will be sunny and winds will be calm.  We haven’t said that much this winter and we won’t say it much this week either. The most recent forecast from the National Weather Service shows a mix of snow, freezing rain, and sleet Tuesday through early Thursday morning.

Marshall is expected to start seeing precipitation Tuesday afternoon in the form of freezing rain, sleet, and snow, with winds gusting as high was 20 mph. With a forecast high temperature of 35 degrees, there may be little to no snowfall. Into Tuesday night, we’ll see a mix of rain and snow with mostly rain through the overnight hours with winds gusting as high as 25 mph.

The rain will gave way to a slight chance of snowfall on Wednesday with a better chance of snow Wednesday night into early Thursday morning.

The National Weather Service says it’s too early to determine if accumulation will be possible Wednesday and Thursday.
