MARSHALL — A 16-year-old Marshall driver was taken to the hospital after a collision involving a tractor and a pickup Monday evening, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. 

The crash occurred at 7:24 p.m. on westbound Highway 23 near milepost 72. A 2012 New Holland tractor and a 2018 Chevrolet Sierra were both traveling west when they collided on the wet roadway. 

The tractor’s driver, a 16-year-old boy from Marshall, was transported to the Marshall ER with non-life-threatening injuries. The pickup driver, 65-year-old Dean Scott Grams of Marshall, was not injured. 

Assistance was provided by the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, Marshall Police Department, and North Memorial Ambulance.
