JEFFERS – A two-vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of Highway 30 and Highway 71 in Cottonwood County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. At approximately 3:11 Wednesday afternoon, a 2010 GMC Savana was traveling westbound on Highway 30 and a 2023 GMC Sierra was traveling northbound on Highway 71 when they collided in the intersection.
The 2010 GMC Savana was driven by a man from Orlando, Florida. Three passengers, also from Orlando, Florida, were in the vehicle at the time of the accident. The driver of the GMC Sierra was a 55-year-old man from Kandiyohi. More information about the occupants and their health status will be released at a later time.
The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted by the Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office, Jeffers Fire Department, Windom Police Department and Windom Ambulance.
