ST. JAMES (LEARFIELD) — A St. James man will spend the rest of life in prison for the June 2018 shooting deaths of his wife and stepdaughter.
Sixty-year-old Scott Engelbrecht was sentenced Monday to life without parole in the killings of 67-year-old Joyce Engelbrecht and 43-year-old Rachel Linder. He was convicted last month by a Brown County jury.
Engelbrecht testified that his stepdaughter shot his wife and that he accidentally shot Rachel when he stumbled while chasing her.
He will begin serving the sentence right away.
