RAYMOND (KMHL) – A South Dakota woman was killed on Saturday when the vehicle she was riding in was involved in a crash west of Willmar Saturday morning.
The Minnesota State Patrol says Sharon Berglund, 56, of Labolt, South Dakota, was the passenger in a 2008 Mercury Mountaineer, traveling eastbound on Highway 40 when it was involved in a crash with a 2019 Kenworth Semi-truck and trailer at the intersection of Kandiyohi County Road 7.
Authorities say the crash occurred around 10:15 Saturday morning.
The driver of the Mountaineer Daniel Berglund, suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.
The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.
