WOOD LAKE (KMHL) – The Yellow Medicine County sheriff’s office is urging caution after a male rider narrowly escaped serious injury when the Can Am Side-by-side he was riding went through the ice on Wood Lake.
The incident was reported to authorities shortly after 7 p.m. Christmas Eve.
Sheriff’s officials say the driver was able to get out and return home, and did not require medical attention. Sheriff’s officials are urging caution on the ice and reminding people that ice is never 100 percent safe.
