A private celebration for the life of Sharon Hage73, of Marshall will take place at the Horvath Remembrance Center in Marshall.
Sharon Jean Hage was born on August 15, 1949, in Marshall, MN, to Dr. Owen and Lotty“Nancy” (James) Wilke. Sharon grew up in Marshall and graduated from Marshall High School in 1967. She attended Southwest State College for a time before having her son, Fred. Sharon’s family lived in Westbrook for 11 yearsbefore returning to Marshall in 1980.
Sharon obtained her degree from the Canby Vocational Technical School. She started working for KMHL where she did radio sales for more than 35 years. Sharon was very active and passionate about her community. She took tremendous pride meeting with the business owners that she served and sharing the benefits from her service. She also loved being creative and writing radio advertisements on her whisper writer for her clients. Sharon also valued her close network of friends.
Sharon died unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at her home in Marshall. She is survived by her son, Fred (and Heidi) Hage, and grandchildren Cole and Christina. She was preceded in death by her parents Doc and Nancy Wilke and her longtime companion, Jerry Marquardt.
