ST. PAUL (KMHL) – The Minnesota Department of Agriculture says fresh whole peaches sold at Aldi and Target have been linked to several Salmonella infections in the state.

Agriculture and health officials say they are investigating a multi-state outbreak of Salmonella infections linked to consumption of fresh, whole peaches supplied by Wawona Packing Company.

Aldi has already recalled the peaches from Wawona Packing Company. Officials say 23 Minnesotans have become ill as part of the outbreak.

Aldi says the recalled products include peaches sold in 2 pound bags loose bulk peaches that were sold in Minnesota, South Dakota and several other states.

The company says consumers should either discard the peaches, or return them to the store for a full refund.
