Mary Danielson, age 92 of Tracy formerly of Russell, was called home Monday, March 22, 2021 at Prairie View Healthcare Center in Tracy.  Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 29, 2021 at Zion Lutheran Church in Tracy with a livestream on Stephens Funeral Service Facebook page.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church.  Interment will be in the Tracy City Cemetery.  Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, GUESTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO WEAR A MASK and practice social distancing guidelines. Stephens Funeral Service – Tracy Area Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

RoseMary (Kathman) Danielson was born December 25, 1928 to Francis M. and Ora I. (Murray) Kathman in Esterville, Iowa.  She always said it was the most important day of the year.  Mary was one of eleven children born to Francis and Ora.  Mary and Raymond Danielson were united in marriage on January 18, 1947 at the Methodist Church in Garvin.  Mary was a farmer’s wife. The couple farmed with Mary’s parents in rural Garvin.  Later moving to rural Balaton and upon retiring they moved to Russell.  Mary enjoyed gardening and growing flowers.  She liked reading the newspaper and recipe books and loved to bake.  She played softball with a Balaton team, the Blue Denims.  She had various jobs including Johnson Poultry Farm, Fuller Brush Co., Homera Homes of Tracy and Schwan’s Food Co.  Mary had been a long time member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran church in Island Lake Township west of Lynd.  Thank you to the staff of Prairie View Healthcare Center and Avera Home Hospice.  A special thank you to Mary’s two granddaughters Sara Bonderson and April Lichty for the special care they gave.

Mary is survived by her children: Dale (Gretch) Danielson of Tracy, Sherlynn (Bill) Wood of Marshall, Diane Sturges of Marshall, and Sheila (Pastor Duane) Schmeichel of Madison, AL; 14 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 19 great great grandchildren; and sister Betty Fischer of St. James. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, nine siblings, and great grandson, Kage.
