Ronald Wayne Pendleton, age 56 of the Lower Sioux Community, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 19, 2025 with family by his side.  Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at the Lower Sioux Rec Center.  Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Rec Center and will continue until the time of the service.  Interment is in St. Cornelia’s Episcopal Cemetery.  Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Ronald Wayne Pendleton was born August 31, 1968 in Minneapolis, MN to Robert Theodore & Janet (Schmit) Pendleton.  He was baptized at the Lower Sioux Community.  Ron attended school in Minneapolis until he was 15 years old when he moved to the Lower Sioux Community.  He then attended school in Morton.  At the age of 18, he was blessed with his son Kevin.  The day he became a father was the happiest day of his life.  His pride and joy was in raising his son.  He loved spending time with him and his grandchildren.  Besides fatherhood, Ron excelled at many things, especially playing pool.  Several times he placed in the top five at National Championships in Las Vegas, and even placed in International Tournaments.  Ron was a perfectionist and did all things with passion.  All children were drawn to him because of his kind, beautiful heart.  Ron worked as a dealer at Jackpot Junction for ten years.  He also worked in construction and later in maintenance at Jackpot.  Ron was good at working on cars.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and often kept the family fed with all the deer he was able to harvest over the years.
Ron is survived by his son Kevin Pendleton of the Lower Sioux; grandchildren: Charlise Pendleton, Cyril Pendleton, Kevin Pendleton Jr. and Valentyn Morales; sister Anita Pendleton of Morton; sister in law Karen Pendleton of Redwood Falls; nieces & nephews: Robin Pendleton Jr, Roberta Pendleton, River Pendleton & Hunter Pendleton and many other relatives and friends.  He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Robin and Reginald, and the mother of his son Elizabeth Gregg.
