Roger “Rabbit” Raddatz, age 79 of Redwood Falls, passed away Monday, December 18, 2023 at his home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 22, 2023 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 21 at Redwood Valley Funeral Home. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at church on Friday.  Interment will be in the Redwood Falls Cemetery.  Stephens Funeral Service -Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Roger “Rabbit” Hartwig Raddatz was born September 2, 1944 to Robert and Gertrude (Hartwig) Raddatz in Redwood Falls, Minnesota. He was baptized on September 24, 1944 and confirmed at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls. Roger attended country school and later graduated from Redwood Falls High School. After graduation, Roger farmed along with his father. On August 20, 1966 he married the love of his life Eileen Schiller at St. Paul Lutheran Church and together they lived in rural Redwood Falls. While also farming, Roger worked at Schult Mobile Homes and Jenniges Plumbing and Heating. Roger retired from farming in 2014. He enjoyed many things in life. As a young teenager he loved racing cars, and owned several vehicles such as a Pontiac GTO, Plymouth Road Runner, Dodge Charger and Pontiac Bonneville. He was a catcher on a fast pitch softball team for 30 plus years. You could often find him watching his favorite TV shows The Price is Right, Let’s Make a Deal, numerous cooking shows and American Pickers. Roger enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins, fishing and spending time at the lake. He loved playing bean bags and spending time with his friends. Roger loved watching Sunday night football with his family and friends, especially the Minnesota Vikings.

Roger is survived by his children: Travis (Renee) Raddatz, Tracey Raddatz, and Tara Scott (Rick Scott) all of Redwood Falls; grandchildren: Brandon (Dina) Raddatz, Chelsey (Tyler) Stark, Logan (Kacey) Zaske, Logan (Jaden) Winge, Miclain Winge, Sedona Scott, Bob Ehlers, Samantha (Kevin) Woltjer, and Amanda Rasmussen; 15 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brother Merle (Ruth) Raddatz of Redwood Falls; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Blondie, and several nieces & nephews.
