BALATON — Emergency responders from several communities worked to rescue a person trapped in a grain bin in rural Murray County on Tuesday afternoon. Dispatch received a report at 3:17 p.m. about a male trapped in a grain bin on the 700 block of 211th Street. The person was completely submerged, and those present could not locate him.
The Murray County Sheriff’s Office reported that a male victim was extricated but did not disclose his identity or condition.
The Murray County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Balaton Fire Department and Ambulance, Tracy Fire Department, Garvin Fire Department, North Memorial Ambulance, North Memorial Air Care, and Marshall Fire Department.
