No one matched all six numbers in Wednesday night’s Powerball drawing, pushing the jackpot to an estimated $1.7 billion — the third-largest prize in U.S. lottery history. The cash option stands at $770.3 million.

The winning numbers were 3, 16, 29, 61 and 69, with the Powerball 22 and Power Play multiplier 2. Although no one claimed the top prize, 11 tickets sold across nine states matched all five white balls to win $1 million.

The jackpot has been growing since May 31, when it was last hit in California. Saturday’s drawing will mark the 42nd consecutive drawing without a jackpot winner, tying Powerball’s record streak.

Powerball’s largest prize remains the $2.04 billion jackpot won in California in November 2022.

The next drawing is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 6, at 9:59 p.m. CT. Tickets cost $2 and are sold in 45 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.
