Patricia Ann Whitesock was born on December 12, 1945, to Lloyd and Ethel (Taylor) Powell in Topeka, Kansas. She went on to reside in various parts of the United States before most recently settling in Lake Benton, Minnesota. After her high school graduation she attended community college for four years and earned her degree. Patricia was employed as a factory worker for the majority of her career, but found her true passion by working as a cook at the White Healthcare Center in White, South Dakota.
In addition to her professional role, she also loved being a mother and grandmother. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, working on puzzle books, and playing games. She also often passed time crocheting. Due to complications from pneumonia, Patricia entered the Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2020, at the age of 74 years, four months, and 18 days.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Tod Wilkinson and Regina Alvarez of Lake Benton; grandchildren, Eric Wilkinson, Joshua Wilkinsin, Kimberly Plummer, Jessica Carpenter, Stephanie Wilkinson, Nicholas Alvarez, and Skylar Wilkinson; 10 great-grandchildren; and sister, Debra Schissler. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Thomas Powell; and sister, Carolyn Evans.
