MARSHALL – The Minnesota FFA Alumni and Supporters Association has announced the Class of 2025 inductees to the Minnesota FFA Hall of Fame, recognizing individuals who have made significant contributions to agricultural education and leadership. Among the honorees is Lynn Ketelsen, a farm broadcaster with more than 45 years of experience.

Ketelsen has been involved with Minnesota FFA for decades, attending state and national conventions, broadcasting live from events like the Minnesota State Fair, and engaging with local chapters at their annual banquets. His efforts have included interviews with FFA members and leaders, providing a platform to share their achievements and promote agricultural opportunities.

Over the years, Ketelsen has received the Honorary National FFA Degree and various awards from local chapters in recognition of his involvement and support of FFA. His work continues to connect agricultural communities across Minnesota.

Other Inductees include:

  • A.J. Duerr: A legislative advocate for agricultural education, Duerr has played a pivotal role in securing funding for programs like Farm Business Management and the Minnesota Agricultural Education Leadership Council. He is a key figure in FFA Day at the Capitol and other legislative initiatives.
  • Sarah Kuschel: A regional coordinator for Ag in the Classroom, Kuschel has actively supported the Sebeka FFA Chapter through fundraising, mentorship, and community engagement. She has helped raise significant funds for scholarships and sponsors programs like “Blue Jacket Bright Futures.”
  • Shawn Linder: An agriculture educator at Grand Rapids High School for 22 years, Linder has led his students to remarkable achievements, including 23 state championships in Career Development Events (CDEs) and numerous national honors.
  • Dr. Amy Smith: An Associate Professor at the University of Minnesota, Smith is a leader in teacher recruitment and retention for agricultural education. She has established key partnerships to recruit future educators and supports FFA members during their university experience.
  • Al Stemper: A dedicated agriculture teacher and FFA advisor at Foley High School for 36 years, Stemper has built a thriving program, maintaining 80-100 members annually and mentoring teams to state and national competitions.
  • Dr. Curtis Youngs: A former FFA State Treasurer and current professor at Iowa State University, Youngs has demonstrated global impact in agricultural education. He supports Minnesota FFA through sponsorships and endowments, including the Sheep Proficiency Award and state conferences. 

The Minnesota FFA Hall of Fame, established in 2004, has inducted 246 members to date. The program, a partnership between the Minnesota FFA Association, Alumni and Supporters, and Foundation, highlights individuals who have shown a commitment to FFA and its mission.
