MINNEOTA – The Minneota Fire Department was called out to a rural farm in the 2000 block of County Road 24 on Saturday. At approximately 7:00 Saturday morning, dispatch received a report of a bunker filled with cattle bedding on fire. Upon arrival, firefighters observed the bunker fully engulfed in flames and a large amount of smoke. A call for assistance was sent out to the Ghent Fire Department to help battle the blaze. Firefighters were able to put the fire out in about two hours.  The bedding was a total loss. There were no injuries or damage to any structures at the site. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Minneota Fire Department.
