ST. PAUL (LEARFIELD) – It appears the latest wave of COVID-19 cases in the state is stabilizing.

State Health Commissioner, Jan Malcolm says we’re seeing a familiar looking pattern and the current wave of COVID-19 has maybe reached its crest.

“We sort of describe it and feel that it’s a fairly stable situation, albeit at a higher level of cases than we saw in the late spring because of the much increased testing we are doing now as compared to then,” said Malcolm.

Tuesday the health department is reporting 359 new cases, nine additional deaths.  There are currently 304 hospitalized and 154 are in intensive care.
