Marshall (KMHL) – This week, the City of Marshall unveiled their final proposed concept for the open space between Main Stay Café and City Hall that was previously occupied by the vacant former Hotel Marshall building.

The final conceptual design includes greenery, seating, and a planned space for a future sculpture to enhance visual interest.

Name submittals will be accepted starting March 8th with a deadline to submit by April 5th. Community members will have two options to submit names for consideration. Submittals may be made by filling out an online form on the city’s website, or mailed to City of Marshall.

City staff will review submitted names in April and take action to recommend up to three names for the space based on submissions. The proposed names will then be forwarded to the City Council for final approval.
