MARSHALL, Minn. — The Marshall Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run crash that injured a pedestrian Tuesday afternoon. 

Officers responded at about 1:55 p.m. Tuesday to a vehicle-versus-pedestrian crash on State Highway 23 near Saratoga Street. Police say the suspect vehicle, believed to be a newer white SUV or sedan, stopped briefly on Highway 23 before leaving the scene and traveling north on Saratoga Street. 

The pedestrian was taken to Avera Marshall Regional Medical Center and later flown to a medical facility in Sioux Falls for additional treatment. 

Anyone with information about the suspect or the vehicle is asked to contact the Marshall Police Department at 507-537-7000. Police say the investigation is ongoing as officers continue gathering surveillance footage from the area.
