Marjorie (Margie) Ann Pearson was born on September 15, 1934 to Martin and Clara (Grimlie) Johnson in Astoria, SD. Marjorie graduated in 1953 from Astoria High School. On June 2, 1956, she married Kenneth M. Pearson. They raised four children: Cindy, Dirk, Scott and Darla.  She worked as a Nurse’s aide for 19 years at the Hendricks Hospital and Nursing Home. She later was the bookkeeper and worked to keep everything clean for 18 years for the family farm machinery repair business.  She truly enjoyed life and believed it was all about family and showing care for others. She baked many cookies, bars, and cakes for family and friends. If you were ever at her home, you knew she would always be offering you something to eat. She enjoyed a visit and cup of coffee daily with the coffee crew uptown.  She had pride in keeping her home spotless both inside and outside. She was also an avid music fan and loved to dance a waltz with her husband.  Marjorie loved her husband and family more than anything else as they always came first for her. She was always making it a point to attend any family function happening and never miss anything going on. Her two sons shared the same birth date of September 15 with her.
