Mass of Christian Burial for Marjorie Hennen, 90, of Minneota, will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall. Visitation will take place prior to the service, from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the Horvath Remembrance Center in Marshall. Interment will take place at St. Eloi Catholic Cemetery in Ghent.  The Horvath Funeral Service in Marshall is handling the arrangements.

Marjorie Elizabeth (Versluys) was born on November 5, 1933, in Marshall, to Theodore and Elizabeth (DeVos) Versluys. She grew up in Marshall, attended country school and graduated from Central Catholic High School. Marjorie worked for a time at the Marshall Messenger. She was united in marriage to Orville Hennen on May 19, 1952. The couple milked cows, farmed, and raised five sons on their farm near Ghent until moving to Marshall in 1995. Marjorie loved being outside and tending to her garden. She enjoyed quilting and sewing. She was especially fond of time spent with family. She followed her grandchildren’s many sporting activities and also made sure each one received a homemade cake on their birthday.

Marjorie died peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at her residence in Minneota. She is survived by her children Greg (Twyla) Hennen of Ghent, Mike (Pam) Hennen of Minneota, Tom Hennen of Wendell, Rick (Stacey) Hennen of Ghent, and Joe (Kelly) Hennen of Ghent; grandchildren Amberly (Cory) Crowley, Allan (Jessica) Hennen, Adam Hennen, Brandon (Angie) Hennen, Cassi (Matt) Hodder, Hayley (Cody) Fruin, Ashley (Jordan) Dahl, Mariah (Todd) Van Leeuwe, Austin (Amanda) Hennen, Jonah (Taryn) Hennen, Sam Hennen, Seth Hennen, Shane (Rachel) Hennen, Summer Hennen, Brooke (Daren) Guetter, Trent (Brooke) Hennen, Walker (Faith) Hennen, Cole (Mattie) Hennen, and many great-grandchildren, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville, brother Ted Versluys and grandson Christopher Hennen.
