Some bank robbers try to PUT THEIR OWN TOUCH on the classic, “slip the teller a note” thing . . . and this is definitely a new one.
A man in Maryland went into a pet store on Monday, and stole a three-month-old rescue kitten named Magnolia from the cat adoption area, using a key, when no one was looking.
Then the guy took the kitten to a PNC Bank next door . . . and used poor Magnolia as an accessory in an attempt to ROB THE PLACE.
Apparently, he went in with the cat in his arms . . . walked right up to a bank employee, and said, “Can you hold this [cat]?” . . . and then he wrote a note and handed it to a teller that said, essentially, give me all your cash.
Someone alerted the police, and the response was QUICK.
In fact, the pet store employees were just realizing that Magnolia was gone . . . and one person said, “Wow, that’s a heck of a response for a stolen cat.”
The police arrested the man . . . and Magnolia was returned to the pet store safe and sound. She’s still there, “looking for a law-abiding citizen” to adopt her.
