STORDEN, Minn. — Emergency crews responded to a grain bin incident Thursday night after a man was reported missing inside a grain bin near Storden.

Family members contacted authorities after they were unable to reach the man and received no response from inside the bin. Responders determined he was buried under about three feet of corn when they arrived at the scene.

Due to the seriousness of the incident, air medical transport was requested, and a Mayo Clinic Air Ambulance helicopter from Mankato was dispatched around 8:30 p.m.

The man was extracted from the bin and transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital. The air ambulance later diverted from the scene. His condition is unknown at this time.
